There is hope. Not everyone out there is foolish enough to 'roll over' when their government demands it. People in many parts of the world are starting to realize that they have a basic human right to self defense and are now beginning to stand up and demand that right.

You won't find a Bill Clinton or Barrack Obama on that list. They, and everyone like them, are opposed to a person's right to defend themselves and our Constitution in general.

Spanish Gun Group Partners With SAF and IAPCAR

BELLEVUE, WA - The International Association for the Protection of Civilian Arms Rights (IAPCAR) added the National Arms Association of Spain (ANARMA) as a new member of the international gun rights association working to protect and expand the right to keep and bear arms around the globe. ANARMA joins 19 other groups from 10 countries on five different continents that represent millions of firearm owners and citizens concerned about civilian arms rights.

"Our international coalition is growing by the day with groups like ANARMA as new allies in securing the universal right to keep and bear arms," said IAPCAR executive director, Philip Watson.

"I think the positive dialogue on civilian arms rights is only going to grow as we've recently added the Austrian group SPSC and now ANARMA of Spain as new members." Watson observed.

As Spain's highest profile gun rights advocacy association, ANARMA also runs the popular online website (http://anarma.org).

Guy Weisz, ANARMA's VP of communication technology and press confirmed ANARMA's membership with IAPCAR.

Julianne Versnel, director of operations for the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) established IAPCAR to serve as a vehicle to unify arms rights groups against international threats to the human right of self-defense and the legitimate use of guns.

"IAPCAR strongly opposes any U.N. Arms Trade Treaty that infringes on national sovereignty and the individual right to keep arms," said SAF's Versnel.

CCRKBA's Gottlieb added, "Events over the past decade have emphasized the urgent need to protect the individual right to defend oneself and one's family against grave threats, including crime, civil unrest and terrorism. IAPCAR is dedicated to preserving this human right."

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation's oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.

Works often enough. NO protection INSURES your 'rights' as a victim.

The VAST majority of those killed by governments were not armed. They lived in countries with the same type of gun controls that Obama wants. From Nazi Germany to Soviet Russia all had one theme, control or outlaw private firearms ownership to insure the power of the "State" over the People.

No law has ever prevented a crime. Only the individual can protect them self 100% of the time.

The ONLY firearms that should be controlled are those owned by a government.

Salt Lake City police Thursday night were investigating why a man apparently slashed and stabbed two strangers outside of a grocery store.

Police Lt. Brian Purvis said about 5:20 p.m., a man in his 30s went into the Smith’s Marketplace store at 455 South 500 East and purchased a kitchen knife. He said the man left the store along 600 East and attacked two people, apparently at random, according to witnesses.

He said a man with a concealed carry permit happened to be at the scene, so he drew his pistol, ordered the assailant to stop and held him at gunpoint until officers could arrive. He then threatened other bystanders, Purvis said.

Purvis said police took the knife-wielding man into custody. He was unharmed.

He said the two stabbing victims — a man in his 30s and a man in his 40s — were taken in critical condition to the hospital, where they remained late Thursday.

No law ever prevented a crime??? How many violent crimes, e.g. murder, rape, armed robbery... would take place if it were perfectly legal to commit murder, rape and armed robbery? Having a legal code thwarts an unquantifiable number of crimes from happening; much as seat belts prevent a lot of traffic fatalities. Many folks might be tempted to commit crime but are dissuaded by legal consequences. In a society without law, there would be a zero crime rate.

Murders are committed daily. Rapes, daily. Far too many find a jail term as just, part of the cost of doing business. Not ONE of the youths that passed through were I worked were deterred by the idea of jail, getting shot maybe, but not jail.

Armed citizens likely thwart as many, or more crimes that words on paper. Just my opinion.

The fact remains, an unarmed citizen is a victim waiting to happen. NO law, nor any level of law enforcement, can protect the individual 100% of the time. Self defense is the responsibility of each individual.

As we pass more and more laws, crime increases solely because there are more laws to break.

Moonshiners are criminals solely because of tax laws. At one point in history is was not illegal to smoke pot, Now it is a crime, people still smoke pot. It was made illegal to consume booze for a bit, drinking did NOT stop. The list is endless.

Funny.

Try this one. The East Tennessee Militia :: ...upholding our rights to bear arms forever..., or this one,
Tennessee Constitutional Militia | 16th. Volunteer Field Force 3rd. Brigade M.E.T., or this one. 1st TN RIFLES UMIT - 1ST TENNESSEE RIFLES UMIT

There are LOTS more where that came from.

Everyone has a RIGHT, and I say a duty, to belong to a State Militia.

Of course, it is more fun just to make fun of those who believe in their rights and are not afraid to say it. Ridicule is the rule, eh?

How about this one? The Tennessee Militia is endorsing Ron Paul for president.

I was talking to you, Tude. If you want to attack someone personally, strap on a pair and do it privately. Otherwise, you of all people know the likely consequences.

Basic right to self defense? hmmm...are these basic rights limited by age? and if so who controls that age? at what age do you attain these basic rights?

I don't know what jail you worked at but many of my kids that I worked with were scared crapless and did not re-offend.

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... if the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency...the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent that their fathers conquered." --Thomas Jefferson

It was a youth camp in PA. The vast majority re-offended, often while they were in there.

As to ages, political rights are gained slowly, the right to defend is inherent. I have seen a two year old use a pretty good right cross on a kid who went after him. The amount of force needed to defend one self normally goes up with age as the threat does.

They saw the shorts and wouldn't risk returning? :D

I would bet that IF we required prisoners to dress "OVM style" that the numbers re-offending would drop like a rock! Crime in general would drop as people would stay out of trouble to avoid wearing that 'stuff'. The ONLY problem would by the lawsuits by the ACLU to stop the 'cruel and unusual' punishment! :p
