Well I did not do my homework well enough and installed a TagaLong Genset on my truck and the company went out of business. So I am looking for some help on getting this thing repaired. Does anyone know who is doing work on them, or a good generator/electrical shop.:)

What are the problems you need help with? Also what area of the country are you hoping to have your service work performed?? I know of an excellent shop in Rockford Il off of bypass 20 on the south side of town. The shop is easy to get in and out of. If your near San Antonio Tx there is Southwest Power Generators out by the Petro exit. They are located several miles on a back road. Try going to the PowerTech web Site as they have a great directory of generator shops all over the country and Canada. Good luck..

These were first introduced through the Dave Nemo radio show. Apparently a problem developed between the two owners and they parted company. Needless to say, there was problems with their units and they couldn't be resolved. I think Dave did all that he could to rectify the problem with other suppliers.
I would talk to Klaus at www.truckgen.com as he is aware of the different problems they had. Very knowledgable in the field and has been around a long time.
You can email him or call him in Jacksonville

Thank Glen

The problem appears to be electrical. GenSet starts up fine. Not getting any power to the Control Panel(AC/Heat), Battery Charger, Electrical Outlets. I live in NJ and as you know can end up anywhere.
We are sometimes in the Rockford, IL area and will try that spot if you have a # will appreciate it. Ohio to Michigan Area or Memphis, Tn

Many Thanks
Abe:)

Sounds like the breaker needs replaced or reset. A faulty ground wire would be suspect as well if the breaker checks out ok.
Depending on how it was installed, there will be a breaker for the generator portion of your unit. It will not be the breaker at the main terminal (battery) because you indicated it would run, but no power. It might have had a slight overload and it popped.

ABEJR2004,

I agree with Dave - contact Klaus at TruckGen - I would also give Heath Wood a call at Middle Georgia Freightliner 800-899-8696.
