T300 Owners

Maybe I just never noticed this before but the last few days I've noticed that when I start the truck in the morning the voltmeter remains at 12v for several minutes before popping up to 14 where it should be. It does increase with rpm but drops back to 12 then after a few minutes it pops right up to 14 and stays there - is this normal on KW's? I'm thinking I might get the batteries (3) load tested in case one or more is going south.

Truck is ok.
That happens when the electronic air inlet heater turns on. Will only happen when it is cold, or on first start up.
After intake is warm enough, volt meter returns to 13.9
