I just switched to laptops and dumped my old desktop. More portable. We were talking about browsers in Team Caffee's post a couple of weeks ago. I did some research on best browsers and best email clients, before installing on my new machine and opted for Firefox and Thunderbird for email, both are right up at the top' in reviews I've read, and I've been using both for sometime, so I'm used to them. I have IE, and Outlook, but pretty much stay on Firefox, as it gives me everything I need. I'm not a geek, but more the average user, maybe a little above average, as what I do on the pc I do pretty well. Mainly I surf, and email, and read, and just started to run a small business, which involves all three. Firefox just came out with version 3.5, and it smoothed things out a bit, and speeded some things up. I like the ad ons that cut search time, but I could use some advice on getting to the exact page on a search instead of weeding thru so much garbage. Maybe there isn't a better search method out there than the ones I use, but I'm willing to learn and swap info if you think there is. For example, the other day I was looking for "buyers for resort property",not sellers) and everything I could find was either a broker, or a site you have to pay for, which can produce no track record.
