Hello all, first off I have spent about 3 hours longer than the original 15 minutes reading posts. What a website and forum. Lots of good people with all sorts of ideas. Very informative.
I am a cargo van owner, we have 13 of them all leased to Panther II. My dad has been with Panther for 7 years and brought me in. I am starting my second year running our vans with Panther. Overall I feel Panther is a good company, but lacking in the working well with others department. I have learned some good and some bad while being with them. I was contacted recently by Con-way Now, about putting some or all of my vans on with them. They seem from what I have read and spoken to them about, a solid company, but probably like all of the bigger ones, they will have their good and bad. Noticing that one doesn't stand out from the crowd, makes me think that unless there is a serious problem with the company you are with, then you should just ride out the slow times. We have a .85 contract and other than not caring for some people there and their attitudes, and the fact that we are charged fees on our vans when they are without a driver, yet Panther is not offering orientation, leaving us without a way to put a driver in the van, are my only real complaints.
Honestly, I'm looking for any feedback in general about these companies, switching, slow times, companies with too many vans ect.
Thanks for having me.
