If it gets worse? Duh, it's already too late. Cases in New York, California, Texas, Ohio and Kansas. So even if they shut down the border right now, it's already too late.

gotta laugh or all we do is cry. gracie has resp problems. she is also allergic to eggs so she cannot take the shot. we will get by with homeopathic remedy from the local health food store.

be sure to wash your hands all the time and use a paper towel to open the bathroom door.

Off topic slightly.....

People stress using a paper towel to open the bathroom door after washing their hands and then proceed to use the public telephone, grab the pen to sign the fuel ticket, get coffee from the machine, open the refrigerator case to get a soda, press the buttons to get into the shower, sit in the lounge to watch tv, grab the menu at the restaurant...the list goes on and on.
My point? Yes, wash your hands frequently but there is a limit to hysteria!

I've seen numerous drivers hork, spit and clear their nasal passages into the sinks....I'd think that alone would be a concern about using the sinks.....washing your hands is after the fact....

I always use a paper towel to open the door,turn off water,etc. In places that use the hand drier I provide my own.
I have spent years working around Nuclear Facilities and you learn how contamination is spread; however, there is a middle ground between "Chicken Little" and the "ostrich". it's called "COMMON SENSE"! Do things that are easy,affordable and make sense.
This will possibly blow over but I would use a sense of awareness about all my activities, especially now.
I usually will not take my coffee mug into restrooms, don't use salad or food bars, examine my silverware before eating, use a straw for my beverage, etc. These are not fool proof but will give you an easy approach to safety.

There are very few ways to avoid getting the flu. Stay in a steril bubble till it is over or don't touch anything or breath when you are in public. Let's just leave that border open and let them pour in here like poluted water. You can't stop it at the border, true, but do we have to invite it in? Layoutshooter
