INDUSTRY ASKED TO RANK TOP CONCERNS

Arlington, VA – The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), the trucking industry’s not-for-profit research organization, today launched the 2011 Top Industry Issues Survey. The annual survey, commissioned by the American Trucking Associations (ATA), asks trucking industry stakeholders to rank the top issues of concern for the industry along with appropriate strategies for addressing each issue.
The results of the 2011 survey will be released at the ATA Annual Management Conference and Exhibition, to be held October 15-18, 2011 in Grapevine, Texas.

Industry stakeholders are encouraged to complete the survey online. Alternately a paper copy is available on ATRI’s website at Welcome to ATRI.

ATRI is the trucking industry’s 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research organization. It is engaged in critical research relating to freight transportation’s essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and efficient transportation system.

I took the survey and it was ok but the whole independent thing is a sham. They are an arm of ATA pushing the ATA agenda of bigger and heavier trucks. They also totally ignore the Mexican truck issue. You can write in though so you can point out their bias and shortcomings in various places.

I had already looked at the survey, and completed "some" of it, when I realized it did not allow the proper answers., such as, "I don't agree with this at all"

A survey should always leave an out for the questions you do not understand, or simply do not agree with.

It's like asking, "Do you prefer Marlbor's or Camels", and no answer such as "I don't smoke, and prefer neither."

Surveys such as this are biased in what they want, not the true opinion of the respondent.
