A lot of talk going on recently about who makes what.
Newbies and old fa... alike would probably like specifics to help in career moves.
Give it up y'all.

This Y-T-D as of Aug 31st I've had 88 runs, 75,531 T.M., with $154,019 gross.
That is 2.039/mile or 1750.21/run.

I am with Fedex in a DR unit/ TVAL.

Need more particulars, get a job at the IRS.

My T.M. includes all DH and trips home. My milage ( for this data )starts Jan 1st and ends Aug 31st.

I am not breaking out FSC, as I view it as income, on the total job just like toll or labor $$.

Eight months should be a pretty good sample for comparison sake.

Be Informed.

My #'s are somewhat confusing cause I only show LOADED miles, not any deadhead, and because I took off quite a bit of time earlier this year when my wife passed away:

Total $ includes fuel sc and access.$ =$79,080.00
Total paid miles=36,191
Total loads= 28

Works out to $2.18 PER LOADED Mile

Running a 40' dry van w/liftgate and LEAM has me classified as a "D" unit.

P.S. To Leo
Slowed down to 58 and getting 8.25 whereas I used to get 6.85. $$$$$$$ in the bank baby . Even old dogs can learn....

I don't really want a job at the IRS, but would like to know what the break down is for loaded miles. That would show a little more.
Some people drive home after a few days out and others don't have a place they call home. I agree that the bottom line is pay per mile (all miles) is the bottom line. But some like to know what it took to make that bottom line.

what do all of your numbers reflect when you take your total fuel bill off of your gross and divide by the total miles for a rate per mile after fuel. fuel is the largest expense we all face. just curious, as i to am always looking for info.

jaminjin and Dynamite 1,

of the the total miles, ( 75,531 ) i have aprox. 7900 miles not directly tied to offers.
you know those mystery miles that show up after the drop. hunting for a lay over spot, going to a mall or out to eat. of those 7900 miles 2400 can be associated with Dhing home.
its higher than i would like, but our Daughter got married in July, so Momma wanted to be home a few more times than the normal every 6 to 8 weeks we try to stay out.

so if you back out those "down" time miles : 75531 - 7900 = 68831 , my average is 2.24.

the fuel expense for all the miles was 37746.99 for 9324.012 gals = 4.048/gal.

my FSC was 28049.12. so, 37746.99 - 28049.12 = 9697.82 which after FSC gives me a fuel
cost of 1.04/gal.

the total fuel subtracted from my total gross leave me with an
average of : 1.54/ all miles or 1.69/mile ( less the 7900 not tied directly to an offer).

The bottom line is still what is left after all miles and expenses. But, I hope these breakdowns help you understand my numbers.

jaminjim,
i dont record the dh miles and loaded miles seperatley into my data base.
the total miles and total pay is my only concern.
now while i do write the DHL and DHPU into my book when the offer 1st arrives
i condense that info as it serves me no purpose on my budget spread sheet.
sorry i,wont go back over the last 8 months and add that up for you.
but, if i had to guess, my DH would probably average close to 150 to 250 miles /job.
one thing i've noticed since becomming a DR unit is the DH has gone up, but so has
the rate/mile.
