Is the truckstop your at doing anything special for the superbowl? I heard the TA on I-81 in TN is setting up (5) big screens in the resturant and all appetisers are half price! Way to go TA. The petro here in Carlisle PA has no special plans. Thought it might be good to see who's doin what?

Somewhat related, although that's not my style,am I the only guy that gets pizzed when you go to a TV room to catch a playoff game of any kind and you have guys that were there first that insist they have to see Money Train for the fifth time ?
And then they don't even pay attention to the movie !

We have the Flatscreen/ Sat dish.
Will often still get a room during the NFL season.
Had the NFL ticket for free this year. It's not good in a mobile vehicle.
My home team got blacked out about eight times in the market where I was parked.
I would not pay for it.

According to the Calorie Control Council, Americans will eat 30 million pounds of snacks on Super Bowl Sunday, including 11.2 million pounds of potato chips. I guess that TA is doing it's part to make sure truckers who are not home are not left out of the 1,200 calorie binge.

It's all good, though. it takes a lot of trucks to haul 30 million pounds of snack food, and people will need more after the big game day.

11.2 million pounds of potato chips, 8.2 million pounds of tortilla chips, 4.3 million pounds of pretzels, 3.8 million pounds of popcorn and 2.5 million pounds of nuts. The average armchair quarterback will consume 1200 calories and 50 grams of fat from snacking and that doesn’t even count any meals!

The CCC’s research reveals that potato chips, the snacking favorite, will account for 27 billion calories and 1.8 billion grams of fat. These 1.8 billion fat grams nationwide are the same as four million pounds of fat, which is equal to the weight of 13,000 National Football League (NFL) offensive linemen at 300 pounds each.

The The Calorie Control Council is, incidentally, the primary promoter and supporter of "invented foods." They are an organization funded by the makers of acesulfame potassium, aspartame, neotame, saccharin, stevia sweeteners, sucralose, monk fruit, advantame, cyclamate, and polyols.

Might risk the hotel room today in OH. Nice run early in the week, then 4 days of sitting, followed by a short run out of Kentucky/finally. It's time to exit the Sprinter for some indoor plumbing.

Following the debit card offering, will come the only time I hope DP does not call. However, I'll lose the money for a nice run to say.....Bama? GA? Heck, I'd even take Laredo? :)

Super Bowl would be an afterthought, perhaps with volume down, and in the background. May use it as an excuse for peanut M&M's and a pizza though......
