Summer is over,,time to hunt

2 weeks away to the season opener...
Got 2 fields scouted out that seem to be holding birds,,
All water holes we check out are also holding birds,,with the heat we have had lately and if it continues,,it looks like we may be on the water for the opener and move into the fields if the weather cools off..not sure yet where but properly somewhere in Waterloo or Saginaw Bay area..
Of course the economy will dictate how much time I blow off work for the early season.For sure I am going to try the first few days of the season. Once we move into the fields I can extend open invite to anyone that wants to join,,,most fields we hit will support alot of guns if the birds come in,,just no guarantee but the coffee will be hot...As far as water hunting if ya got your own boat (for inland waters)would be more then happy to met met up with anyone...

I will keep that in mind, don't forget, we are going to try to get a layout hunt in later this year.

Dang you type and respond fast,,I didnt even change the page yet,,

To be honest with ya I aint much on open water,,meaning the Great lakes if thats where you folks hunt,,,My Equipt dont allow it and they dont make boats big enought for me to venger out that far

Saginaw Bay is biggest body of water I get on and dont head out to far on that...
For sure it would be great to met up Layout...

We hunt right were The River meets up with Lake Erie. We seldom hunt in water any deeper that 8 feet and often less than that. Is a 22ft Starcraft center counsel big enough?

I could handle something like that,,ya must be right off airport there??? My bother flys out of there. I See alot of geese in that area when I go with him..
We are runniing a 18ft polar craft,,with a enclosed and cased in alunin skin,,all grassed..This one is bulletproof

Also an old 16ft 1954 starcraft that I stripped out 3 years ago and built into a duck boat..it also is completly grassed out,,not sure how that would work in your layout hunts???
I thought you guys hunt out of sinkboats or something low to the water line..

That video still is a wash of colors in my media player?????I get the audio,,,but the video isnt there I see images but like I said its all washed in colors????

The link works on my computer, must be something with yours. Try a different player maybe? Yes, we often are hunting not far off of the end of the runway of Grosse Isle airport. Good perching out there that time of year. We ALWAYS take minnows and perch rods!! That 16 footer would work good, no need for the grass etc. We take 2 16 footers and an 18 along with the 22ft and the layouts.
