Sudden Change in Life

This reminds of the post by Lawrence. Yesterday (24th) I was heading home. On XM 171 a driver called in, talking to Marcia asked everyone listening this.....

(BE GREATFULL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE NOW.) Think about that for just a moment.

On Friday he was driving along when all of a sudden his and the truck behind him windows were shot out in California. Niether driver was hit with the bullet but glass in the eyes. He was just explaining how greatfull he was to be able to go home for Christmas.

Yesterday a football player being interviewed on TV after an NFL game said, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift."

Those are good words. We can only live in the present. Those who focus on what they have right now tend to be more happy and fulfilled than those who focus on what they don't have, or on what other people have.

The phrase that best says it for me is: "Happiness isn't having what you want, it's wanting what you have". Flipping the perspective to the opposite can make for a sudden change in your outlook!
