LOL! You so in trouble now buster. :)

LOL, there is an obvious answer one could write here, but I shall refrain LOL :p

Actually it is an interesting subject ...

"Gender stereotypes regarding proneness to emotional problems in women and alcohol problems in men, appear to reinforce social stigma and constrain help seeking along stereotypical lines. They are a barrier to the accurate identification and treatment of psychological disorder."

Oh, yes. It's important to remove as many barriers as possible to the accurate identification and treatment of a psychological disorder, even if you have to invent the barrier in order to remove it. According to the newly released Hitchhiker's Guide to the Headshrinking Universe (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders rev. 5, or simply, DSM-5) ordinary, everyday reactions, like grief over the loss of a loved one or a 3-year-old throwing a temper tantrum (the newly invented Disruptive Mood Disregulation Disorder, or DMDD), is now considered a mental health disorder to be treated with copious amounts of pharmaceuticals.

After reading the above link, it puts (or should put) the article in the OP in a completely different light, especially the final paragraph:

In the U.S., it appears that mental health diagnoses have spread across the gender gap, even for children. A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that up to one in five American youngsters — about 7 million to 12 million, by one estimate — experience a mental health disorder each year.
Indeed. The more the more better.

Yeah, no kidding eh! I swear these disorders are invented by the drug companies. We are living in a society where we are so over medicated it makes illegal drugs look pale by comparison.

As far as women's mental health goes, I've had more than one woman tell me that all her problems
are simply caused by men ;-)

I read the first paragraph, Blaah, Blaah, Blaah, Blaah, Blaah. I couldnt take it anymore.

Elderly women are more likely to develop mental ilness like alzhimers because they typicaly live longer depression is because they are lonley. Feel free to refer to the silver haired widdow grandmothers as deadly assassins. How else can they outlive thier spouses?
Now dont get youre panties in a knot Im just having fun..
.

O.K. realy, here is the skinny.
Men are less likely to develop mental illness for the fact men are more likely to be employed in physicaly demanding trades and often outside Testosterone is a multi use hormone and yes women have a testoserone level just lower. Vitimin D this regulates emotions is only activated by NATURAL SUNLIGHT

Fact are simple.
A man gets stressed most men deal with thier issues. How? say to the iddiot on the loading dock, "you are a complete fking moron." Also, they get piszed off and let it out in some way exersize, sex, work, throw a wernch accross the workshop, etc. This physical response releases testosterone, epinephrine, norepenephrine, dopimine, and other verry powerfull nerotransmitters.
Then men usualy forget abbout the issue and move on with life. Thats why men say I dont want to talk abbout it.

Men typicaly prefer a diet that is higher in protien where women lean tword carbohydrates.
Stress, Diet and exersize are the factors.
