Stress Relief...

What's your prescription for finding peace after a long, hard day
on the road ... you know those type of days/trips ...
... heavy, dense traffic
... road rage incidents
... members of cliques getting the perks
... wrathful dock foremen
... "know nothings" attempting to give you directions ...

I like to go swimming... (river, lake, motel/RV-park pool)
Cool down, use many different muscles,
concentrate on proper form and suddenly the
cares of the day are washed away...

After 20-minutes, if I'm still feeling uptight I just
"increase the dosage" of my "prescription for peace"
by another 15 to 20 minutes...

After a good swim it's much easier to smile... :7

But.. that's just me.. :+

What is your stress relief...????

Only thing I see wrong with YOUR prescription is.... there is a coolie missing somewhere.

Walk a few laps around the parking lot.

Do a little surfing. (Internet style)

Write a few lines.

Read my Bible.

I'm wishin I had the harley to unwind after a long day on the road.. But since I have limited box space in my 28 footer and limited to 26k lbs, that's not an option. So I always have a truck paper to dream shop in, and if that doesn't cure me, I just look at the picture on my dash and remember why I am were I am.. Then everything is A OK...

As far as the Col.. Sometimes you just have to listen to what he says, instead of thinking you know what he said.. Man has insight, and shares it everyday.. Most people just can't LISTEN...

Definition: coolie

–noun Offensive.
1. an unskilled laborer, esp. formerly in China and India.
2. an unskilled laborer employed cheaply, esp. one brought from Asia.

Get the picture of a sevant bringing your favorvite cold beverage to ya over at the pool and you'll understand where the col is coming from.

BINGO, Flatbeddin!!! If they "listened" instead of just read and assumed, they'd have figured out the Col was agreeing and added that he'd have a cool alcoholic beverage as well. The Col has a lot to teach. But some ppl can't see the wisdom thru the words (forest thru the trees?).

To answer the question... sleep, then get up and do it again! :)

Definition: coolie

1 – type of fruit drink, sometimes spelled fruit coulis

2 – type of insulated drink holder, usually with suction cups

3 – type of dessert topping, usually made with fresh raspberries, sugar and water

“I'm wishin I had the harley to unwind after a long day on the road.. But since I have limited box space in my 28 footer and limited to 26k lbs, that's not an option.â€

With 28 feet of space, I could stick a mini (new or original) and still have room for a Harley and freight.

I could "choose" to take the harley with me.. But I "chose" to leave it at home and optimize my earning potential. That way I can take the time and "choose" to ride the harley any place I desire and share the "stress free enviroment" with my beautiful seat cover..

in attempting to decipher the musings from xo6..

Firegears, you start a thread about a decent topic and then right off the top you start your sarcastic replies that are not related to the topic. Why don't you leave the sarcasm in your mind as I and others don't need to know your feelings about other individuals.

Now that you know the Col was agreeing with you, you don't feel any humility? Instead, you charge those of us who understood what he said to be crackpots.

Since 'Jesus is Lord', according to your avatar, I was thinking WWJD?
Barring the idea that Jesus wouldn't have stuck his foot in his mouth in the first place, I think he would've been humbled and apologized. Then, he would've said, "Hey Col... make my coolie a red wine." Then he would've offered some bread and fish for the trouble.
