Recently on a trip through Ohio there was a car in front of me that the driver was either drunk or suffering some kind of medical distress as he was all over the road, shoulder and median. I called 911 to report it and got a local fire dept operator who had a bit of difficulty getting the info to the right spot (Ohio State Patrol). I felt a bit bad for tying up what was likely a small podunk town fire dept when I knew I needed the OSP to begin with.
Every state has a sign when you enter it telling you what the free *help number is to call if you need the highway patrol, problem is who the heck can remember them all.
If you could chime in with the * number for your state (or ones you are positive you know) I will put together a list that we could all keep in our trucks.
I'll start,
Ontario *677 (*OPP)
Quebec *4141
