I predict these first year models with the DPF are going to be the problem children.

Remember back in 1976 when they put all the smog equipment and catalytic converters on cars and how crappy they ran. Needing 500cubic inch engines to produce under 200 horsepower

I know not everyone has a choice but you should never buy a car wor truck with new technology till it's proven out on the road.

Maybe for us normal people. But remember you have to take a couple days at minimum off work. Isn't 4 grand what you make in a couple days?

4 grand might be what I gross in 4 days but certainly not net.....Scheduled downtime for this type of maintenence could leave you with pics of a nice cruise to the bahamas and a clean dpf filter!!

They started using DPFs beginning with 2007 model year. 2010 and up use DEF along with DPFs.
