spreadsheet for records

Been thinking about making an XL spreadsheet for keeping various records in one place, i.e. pro#,miles, rate, fsc, p.u. and del locations, tolls, fuel $ and gals, rotation, oil change, etc, etc.
It would be great to have all this info readily available for taxes and quarterly maint. reports. Before tackling this project I thought I would ask if anyone had already done this program and would be willing to share the same. If not, I will do so when completed, probably late next month.
Thanks

All you have to do is put the info in the right files...so yea it does....just as an example, my trip reports are in document files..where it picked up at, where it was delivered, miles run, rate paid pro # and Trav # tolls and fsc....its as simple as typing the info into each trips line...

Also have a file for vehicle mantainance including the receipts for items bought and how they were paid for, the tax broken out and if i performed the maintainance or it was done by a shop and what shop and what was paid and how it was paid, cash or CC...

Seperate file for fuel purchases including the receipts and i add the sales tax paid per gallon....

does the neat receipts calculate those figures down into a rate per mi. after fuel.

nope, but you could take the data that you have stored and the totals and get it...but it doesn't do it for you..

If you are handy with spreadsheets you can get the free spreadsheet from OOIDA and input your run data in the lower portion. Then you could creates links and formulas using the information you enter to populate the spreadsheet with your own data.

i have 2 excel programs my son created for me. one that figure loaded miles and rate to total pay, fuel cost for trip and then figures it all down to a rate per mile after fuel. the second is a similar program for figuring dh pay, cost and a profit or loss on the dh. next is to get him to cross the two into a final figure for all miles after fuel.

I have purchased the Neat Recipe scanner and it is at home waiting for me. I am interested in what all the software will do.

I was also told I would be able to scan business cards and find them much easier than I can now.

Thanks for the great feedback. I will look at the programs you cited. Should save a lot of work.

Wow! This is a really awesome product! Is anyone actually using it right now? How does it work? Would you scan the pro bill or bol in for the information or what paper is it you scan for it to get all this information. I can see scanning reciepts but not sure I am understanding how it would get the other info like miles and such. I have a work sheet I fill out from the qcom with all the info on every load but our company doesn't use pro bills?
