So I'm coming out of the Walgreen's in Goleta, CA, and spot a "different" looking CV, not quite a Sprinter, but same shape. Closer inspection I see the red "FIAT" badge, "Ducato" on the side and back. And a "for sale" sign on the windshield. Driver and passenger, driver had just started it up, definitely a diesel. Go the phone out and snapped a couple of pics just as it was heading out of the parking lot. Will post after I get them off the phone.
Looked like it might have been some sort of camper van, roof air, access door of some sort on passenger side rear quarter panel area. Not any US type plates that I can recognize, unless it's one of those special plates like support this or that, vets. college etc. Not familiar with California's special plate types. Could be out of state or out of country?
Any ideas on how that baby snuck in? Did Fiat sell RV conversions in U.S.?
