South Korean 'Cloud' towers looks like WTC Exploding

This does not appear to be a sick joke. Architects have designed a pair of apartment towers in South Korea that are unbelievably reminiscent of the 9/11 attacks on New York's World Trade Centre.
These incredible pictures show how Dutch architecture firm MVRDV somehow managed to design the eerie 260-metre and 300-metre towers next to each other, connected by a ‘pixelated cloud’.
And in a good contender for quote of the year, a company statement insists they did not ‘see the resemblance during the design process’ for the buildings - due to be completed in Seoul in 2015.

I wouldn't get too bent out of shape over this. It is exactly the reaction the architects want, outrage. Just like Andres Serrano and his "**** Christ". If people wouldn't act so predictably, nobody would have ever heard of Serrano outside of the small "**** Art" community.

If you read the sidebar at the bottom of the article, I guess with electronic media it's a bottombar or whatever. There is this quote from one of the MVRDV architects on a post Katrina house they designed in New Orleans:

‘Provocation is good, because it pushes people,’ MVRDV head Winy Maas told Metropolis at the time, before referencing the controversial director of Fahrenheit 9/11. ‘We need architectural Michael Moores.'

So what if this building in some way resembles the Twin Towers. It would be kinda cool to live on one of those cloud floors until Kim Jong lobbed a missile up there.

That's absolutely cool

When you think about it, it is amazing that man can build such a building.

Unlike the WTC complex, this may be a more fitting tribute to those who perished on 9/11, no political committee deciding what is good for the stakeholders or no infighting about money but building something that symbolizes a world changing event.
