Gee Turtle, I guess just because I am stupid. Either that or very few in here would understand it. I only go on what history has taught me. I have not seen anything change in my lifetime. There is no change here. We have been moving to the left since 1932 and now the move is going even faster. You can ridicule me all you want, I don't really care. I know what my family went through in Eastern Europe in the 50's and 60's. The same bunch has just taken over here. That is what I believe. I am entileted to my beliefs, at least for now. If you can PROVE different go ahead. By PROOF I mean rock solid garunttees that what I think may happen won't. If I were not so busy I would go into the records and pull up ALL of the House bills that were shot down over the pass 12 years that prove what I say. They will all pass now. While I am sad that Obama won, activism is not the answer. The Republican party and independent third parties need to be reformed to offer better options in the future. While McCain was a war hero, he was not the best pick for the Republican candidate. Republicans need to do better and find some real motivated talent within our party. I voted for McCain because "when given lemons, make lemonade", but there were people better suited for the job. Focus needs to be directed at fixing the GOP, or we are doomed to repeat this cycle over and over again.

Yes, it was uncalled for. Everyone has the privilege of posting here and certainly someone who has served and has the first hand knowledge of many of the goings on we discuss. Agree or disagree, it's what this specific forum is for. Participation, and even reading, are optional.

I can echo the "please be done" sentiment (and I think the poster had a right to say it, there ya go), and I am going to assume the poster who said that is also coming at this from my stance and not merely because he disagrees with Shooter. I don't mind anyone saying whatever they want, but there for a bit it was the same thing over and over and over in nearly every post he made. A few times I had to double-check and make sure I was, indeed, reading a different thread than the one I had just finished with. It was starting to come off as a not-too subtle attempt at yelling the same thing over and over hoping that eventually it would sink in and others would then think like he does.

Just remember you're unique. Juuuust like everyone else.
