I'm watching a show called "Most Shocking" about police stops. One was a guy who shot a police officer 4 times as the officer approached his crashed car. He had been fleeing prior to the crash. The officer somehow survived although only given a 5% chance. The shooter was found less than 2 blocks away hiding under a truck. He got a 51 year sentence so he's a multi-million dollar drain on society. He should have gotten a free ride to the morgue shortly after being found under the truck.

Woman charged with vehicular battery had blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit

RAPID CITY -- The Rapid City woman who is accused of hitting four children with her car while intoxicated Sunday had a blood-alcohol level that was more than three times the legal limit that constitutes drunken driving when the accident occurred, according to a news release from the Rapid City Police Department.

Police say Tammy Ann Bradford, 39, had a blood alcohol level of .270.

Bradford, who is being charged with third-offense driving under the influence, four counts of vehicular battery and driving under revocation, was driving her car through the intersection of Seger Drive and North La Crosse Street on Sunday when she struck four boys who were standing in the ditch, the news release said.

The names of the victims, who were all hospitalized after the accident, have now been released. They are 10-year-old Phillip Gascoigne, 14-year-old Andrew Brown, 15-year-old Sebastian Boerke and 11-year-old Monte Gakin.

All of the boys except Gakin, who suffered a broken pelvis and leg in the accident, have been released from the hospital, according to the news release.

Bradford already had two earlier DUI convictions. Her bond was set Monday at $500,000 cash or surety.

A third-offense DUI is a felony that carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.

2 YEARS!!!! Now thats a crime!!!

I don't have much sympathy for criminals, especially repeat offenders. But there still is something called "due process of law" in this country. I don't like the idea of on site executions.

I agree but, BUT the cops are the ones who hands are tied because of the liabilities that they hold if they shoot the guy after running away and running over kids or a cop over.

Some would say that shooting a person is hard on the cop but truthfully I have been told if they are allowed to shoot the people fleeing in cars like they used, the percentage of people running would drop.

I would like to see some of these people off the road and not running over people or causing accidents by any means.

Roadside executions is not what I'd want to see. Due process is part of the system...

On the flip side however a few more shot while fleeing wouldn't hurt any!

On a serious note though has this Gov. ever considered a VICTIMS Bill of Rights? Or do they have one????

Once you commit a felony a large portion of one's rights should be gone. Rights are for those who deserve them and not everyone does. I have nothing against immediate justice, provided it's justice. When someone is seen shooting a police officer 4 times it wouldn't bother me in the least if that individual was shot. I would add a provision that anyone filmed by dashcam running from the police could be subject to capital punishment if the prosecutor put it on the table. There would have to be a continuous video feed showing more than 1 minute of driving above the speed limit and traffic violations of running lights, stop signs etc. to apply. There's absolutely zero reason to run from the police unless you are guilty of something. There are far too many criminal's rights and not nearly enough honest citizen's rights. It's time to reverse the ratio and eliminate many of these burdens on society as expeditiously as possible.

The way I read Moot's comment, he meant the lawyers will either have to go on welfare, or start robbing people WITOUT benefit of the legal system on their side.

Chester Stiles should never reach jail. He is the guy who is on that video tape raping a young girl of 3 or 4...I would gladly volunteer to be the one who makes sure he doesn't make it . I have a few activities I would like to have him engage in first though...

While my Dad was a Cop back in the 60s and 70s if someone ran and there were two officers in the car. SHOTGUN Blast to the rear of the car.

Never killed the evader, BUT THEY ALL STOPPED!

Now thats LAW ENFORCEMENT saved someone else from a HEAD ON COLLISION.. Thats why I say POLICE SHOOT FIRST AND ASK LATER to save my family from the Trajic phone call. Forget SPIKES cop should block the traffic lane and OPEN FIRE with BIG BULLETS or maybee a Missle Launcher. Now see how many would run only to kill another day.
