We decided what we had always heard about snow in the great northwest was true. While those that travel in the higher elevations are experts, those that live in the cities....not so much. Seattle area had about 2 inches of snow the other morning and the folks we saw were paralyzed. Hubs went into Sam's club for supplies and it was not only just about empty of customers but a lot of the employees had called off causing some to do double duty. Also lots of fender benders.

My dad never believed in a snow blower until the day I moved out of his house. Now he's got a big 12 HP Blower that has 5 forward and 2 reverse speeds, all capped off with big knobby studded tires and an electric start.

Sounds like your dad was a smart man...*l*..

Still haven't figured out how anyone could keep up with a 6 forward...

Judy, it's easy. Get yourself some mini ski's, strap them to your feet, put the blower in 5th, lean back a little, hold on and squeeze the handle. He usually does the whole sidewalk on his block, takes 2 passes, about 10 minutes. He also clears a lot of the elderly neighbors property's on a donation basis. I know the elderly folks appreciate it.
