Small change to PM procedure.

After hearing from several people that they weren't noticing Private Message notices, I did some searching and found an option I had not noticed in our software. I activated it, and now when you receive a PM, you will get an email at the supplied email address you registered with, also, the software will give you a Pop up notification. If you have pop ups blocked, you won't see it, but will still get the email..

Would that e-mail program also include what the PM itself says. IE - Who it's from and what it is they had to say in the PM???

Kind of hope so.......

That way there those of us that get "Time Outs" every once in a while will KNOW why I, I mean They, were put in Time Out for a week, 2 weeks, a month, the day it happens instead of learning why I, I mean They, were put in Time Out a week, 2 weeks, or a month later.

I don't know Brisco, how about this? Instead of the email with a copy of the PM, how about an email with a large pizza?

Yep! It will give you... er... whoever ;) a copy of the PM, so I dont get yelled at 30 days later for not telling them why. I've always had my "email" option set for yes, so I didnt realize that with the newer software, default is OFF....

I apologize... I assumed....(yeah, I know) that when I suspended, or fired a warning shot, members always got an email. I now realize, Ive left a few in limbo, which was never my intention.

I messed up. :eek:

Does that apply to EO classified responses as well? November and April, 2 inquiries regarding an ad and we weren't notified.

Click Settings, then under My Account, select General Settings. There you will find options for e-mail and popup notifications for PMs.

I heard that mods can see our PM's to each other, is this the case? I hope not.

What a ridiculous idea. Not even worthy of a reply in my opinion, but no. They can't, I can't, it ain't happening. Even if I could, I wouldn't.

It amazes me the stupid stuff people come up with.


Some of this stuff is getting ridiculous, I dont know why you even repeat it, it just makes you look bad for believing it.

Here's a clue. Anything you hear from the people elsewhere who illegally post copyrighted material and who libel and slander intentionally, ignore.
