One of the slowest Aprils in 14 years..... Usually we are tearing up the roads this time of year....
Feb and March were slow for me, but April is going to be good with 10k on 4 loads
What kind of truck are you in? I told everyone 2 months ago I wanted to get a strait and they all said stick to the sprinter so that is what I did.... lets see if May can rebound. I heard a rumor straight were only getting 1.50 a mile, that is like a quarter to 30 cents more then sprinter after fuel.
Freight s never slow at this place, every seconds behind the wheels are full of excitement.

Maybe we are underpaid? No different than driving through Chicago or Detroit.
If I was 20, no kids, it would be! AT 63? NOPE! Besides, I have a granddaughter and a BUNCH of nieces and nephews to spoil. I want to be around for that. Life is too important to waste it just for earning a few extra bucks.
I went back on the road the last week of March after a few months. I drive a straight and I've been doing well (until this week but hopefully that's just bad luck catching up to me).
The freightblog at DAT has been reporting very good van rates up until last week. This week we're down a bit. Looks like a good time to own a flatbed.
