Not always. We once had a load of 2000lbs of C4 on the truck. The base told us to park over at Walmart for the night. Made sense to me! We did not go. I told him we were going to park in front of the gate or he could get us into safe haven. Funny, he suddenly remembered they had such a thing.

You are one hec of a brave man. That's 454 kg of the charlie fower behind your sleeping cab!

Yep, but it is pretty stable stuff. I have carried far more dangerous freight. I was more concerned about a hijack attempt and all that "stuff" falling into the wrong hands.

same here,O.P.
just parked for the night. the only rezone been the 30 min. break.
only this time, the receiver will get his load a day late, just because of that one 30 min. break, that reduced my productivity over 2 hours today.
i will not lose a dime, but a full crew of constructions workers will not have their {one of a kind} machine for the night.

Even in a van I've been told I have to leave right away. It's happened several times. Chemical and oil refineries, military bases, nuclear power plants, even regular ol' warehouses.

Me too at those type of places....

I didn't know vans/sprinters are required to take 30 minute breaks.

we are required to take a break when tired and exhausted (law of common sense, dept of healthy living).....it is nice when a shipper allows us to stay on the property....

Well, you bluffed 'em. You were wrong, of course. They had every right to make you leave without liability. Good bluff, though, if it was what you wanted.
