Sitting at the Walmart

Looking out, as one does while waiting for a load, at the world going by, there are some observations that I would like to share with you.

The usual is going on here, bad parking - hey why use one parking space when two will do!

Couples getting fraught - "I gave you the keys", "
No you didn't ...oh here they are"

The boy racers who zoom up & down looking for a space, only to end up passing several on their way.

Or the one guy who sat patiently near a parked car, watched the woman get out of the car and go and fetch a cart, come back to her car, put her child in the cart, lock her doors and headed toward the store.
Not so patient now he zoomed off, visibly mumbling - why didn't he figure if she had gone for the cart that she was staying rather than leaving?

And best for last ......

Too many to count, people that forgot where they parked :p and sorry guys but ..... the majority have been men :D

Now I must pop into the store and pick up a few things, so lets see .....

Row 5, got to remember that ;)

Looks like a lot of people didn't get their ideal gift last week: the Garmin that goes with you when you leave your car parked, and will lead you back to it.
I am not making this up - it's meant for tourists, lol.

And I bet they will sell a ton of them! If you can come up with an idea that is portable and runs on a battery, Americans will buy it. Especially if you can get a celebrity to endorse it.

There is nothing like wandering around the parking lot, looking for my pickup, only to realize I was driving my wife's car instead!

Hey, that's nothing. I was a volunteer safety patrol/first aid guy at a Septemberfest event. This old lady who plays Keno there every day couldn't find her car. We put her in the golf cart and drove her around to find it. After we had searched everywhere but the last lot, she says, "Oh, no, it's not in there. I never park there." Sure enough, that's where it was.

Next day, she can't find her car again, and one of our guys spots it and I drive her over to that lot. Again, she says, "Oh, no, it's not in there." Sure enough, that's where it was.

She misplaced her car every day.

When I was in field service, one of my co-workers got in a car that was just like his rental. Not only did the key fob open the door, his key started the car. Jerry Lee

I lose our pickup when we are home. I am used to parking the truck going inside and then going back out and easily locating our highly visible truck.

When I park the pickup I forget to notice any signs or aisle markings. When I come out of store I get a sinking feeling in my stomach as I realize I cannot see our vehicle.

I have wasted a lot of time walking and guessing where I left pickup.

I usualy loose my womans car in the parking lot because it looks completely boring and compliant like everyone elses.
I feel very nonconforming perhaps defiant when parking a fourty by eight and a half by thirteen foot vehicle in a wallmart parking lot. I almost want to shout "I can see my house from here!!"

Yes and that has been known to happen.

I did lose the truck the other morning. I was asleep when we parked and I was on the phone when I went inside in the morning. I was listening to the story being told and not what I was doing. I felt really odd walking up and down the aisle peaking around trucks, drinking my coffee, still talking on the phone, looking for an allusive truck. I thought I was going to have to call Bob and have him find me.

Isn't there a phone app for that??

I have noticed while here at the Laredo Wal-Mart that Mexican women drivers are far more impatient and agressive while not afraid to use their horns than their Male companions. It is amazing how if the car doesnt move fast enough in front of them, how they will attempt to go around the car in front of them and get onto the adjoining street. And I wont even get into the subject of their shopping cart techniques....lol. What a dangerous world it is becoming...lol
