Shipper looking to book direct with carrier

Hello. I am a shipper who is looking to have a piece of equipment hauled. I wanted to see if it was possible to book directly with a carrier. Is there a spot on this forum where I can do this, or at least get information on what a fair rate per mile for the shipment should be?

I can't answer your question but I suspect those who possibly can will have the following, and perhaps more, questions. What is the item? What are the dimensions? What is the weight? Where is it picked up and where is it delivered? How quickly must it get there? They may have more questions but all those will be necessary information to determine costs. Good luck.
