You gotta love those Tea Party candidates, they are a laugh a minute. Do not fret, I am sure there will be a reality show waiting to snatch this gem up and giver her her own show.

(Newser) – What does a Latino look like? Apparently, Sharron Angle hasn't a clue. When questioned about her campaign ads that show images of Latinos while blasting Harry Reid over illegal immigration, the Nevada candidate told a Hispanic group that the ads don't necessarily show Latinos and that they themselves looked a bit like Asians, the Huffington Post reports.

"What we want is a secure and sovereign nation and, you know, I don't know that all of you are Latino," Angle told the Hispanic Students Union at a Las Vegas high school. "Some of you look a little more Asian to me. What we know about ourselves is that we are a melting pot in this country." Angle, who is Caucasian, added that she had been called "the first Asian legislator" in the state assembly.

Invasion Immigration does include a number of Chinese are smuggled into this country. BUT the hispanic community may not get the premise that Invasion Immigration hurts them a lot more than it hurts the country.

Maybe we need people who don't really give a crap who looks like an Asian or a Hispanic or a Samoan?

Huh? Did you happen to watch the video or just read the snippet I posted? You do realize she was speaking to the "Hispanic Student Union" right?

There's nothing to defend because it's indefensible. People say and do stupid stuff all the time, it's just politicians are afforded the luxury of having everyone pick apart what they say. Most people have done incredibly stupid stuff when they were younger, or at least incredibly stupid in the context of a political campaign. Look at Rand Paul and what he did in his college days. More importantly, look at how the liberal Democrats are handling it. If the shoe was on the other foot they'd be screaming unfair foul play and bloody murder. Hypocrisy at its finest.

People who don't like Sharron Angle will see what they want to in her comments. Stupid comments, to be sure, but that's all they were at the end of the day. People tend to see in others the things that make them feel better about themselves and/or to validate their position. They see bad things in those they don't agree with, and nothing but good things in those they do. Some are so desperate to feel better about themselves and validate what and who they are that they see things that aren't even there.

I do have to wonder, though, if Rancho High School in Las Vegas has a Hispanic Student Union, do they have a Caucasian Student Union? Speaking to a Hispanic Student Union is already pretty darned stupid, since it fosters and legitimizes Multiculturalism and separation, so whatever she says to them isn't gonna be all that far off stupid.

They all look alike to me.
