Selling trucks. Buying trucks.

Is anyone out there having any success selling their truck? I see alot of what I consider good buys on EO`S classifieds, and on some of the truck sales sites also on EO, as well as some of the industry truck papers. However on all the foregoing, I keep seeing the same trucks over and over, for weeks at a time, or even months. I see some really good buys around the 1999-2001 year models, that are really spec`d out nice. Is there still a demand and a place for these vehicles with expediting carriers, or are they being retired to the local delivery store or the farm? Some of these beauties have had significant price drops over the time i`ve seen them advertised in various places, but they still haven`t sold. Last question. Is anyone buynig these old trucks and putting them in service successfully?

I have had 3 trucks with the newest one being a 2001 model. I have never had one with less than 250,000 miles on it. When I am shopping for one, i find the lowest milage with the best looking body. I always pay cash, no more than $15,000 for them. There are some who I read, paid $225,000 for a truck. I am happy as they are. Plus, I didn't have to fork out that payment every month. And right now, is a buyers delite. There are a bunch of low mile, 6, 7, 8, 9 year old trucks for sale cheap. Problem is, there is no demand for them right now. They are useless as a local delivery truck because they are hard to get in and out of driveways. I bought my last one in November, right here on EO. I watched it go down in price for 4 months in a row. I Finally called and made an even lower offer and he took it. He confessed to me, he thought he was fixing to have to eat it. So, as far as truck sales go, expediting may not be as bad.
