then there was a very entertaining stretch of u.s. 30 from breezewood pa to fort loudion pa. this is where 70 and 76 intersect at the t-a gateway ts. approx 30 miles of uphill and downhill. at one point the summit was 2123 ft above sea level and the drop was 3.5 miles at 9% grade.
this is an undulating, climbing, dropping, black asphalt ribbon roller coaster of road that deserves to be driven in a fun vehicle. the cargo van was entertaining. my jetta would be a blast!! best done in the dark to look for approaching lights if you stray across the double yellow line.
