I am writing you with a saddened and heavy heart, i came down here to Spain, Madrid for a short vacation unfortunately we got mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed,all cash,credit card and cell were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our passports with us.
We've been to the embassy and the Police here, but they're not helping issues at all. My flight leaves in a few hours from now but we are having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let me leave until i settle the bills. I feel embarassed to mail you for something like this, but I was wondering if you can lend me 1,500 Euros (or any amount you can afford) to sort out my hotel bills and get a cab down to the Airport. You can have it wired to my name via any Western Union outlet, I'll show my passport as ID to pick it up here. I promise to refund it back as soon as I get back home, you have my word on that.
