Here is an info update on the Sirius Satillite Radio system that I won two years ago at the Louisville Truckshow. I was given a free radio system plus free installation, and a year's subscription. It was love at first sound, and the relationship lasted for six months!!! One day I received an "interface error" message and that wasn't covered in the troubleshooting guide, so I called the Sirius Customer service. They said I would have to call the Jennsen Radio customer service toll free number for help. Jensen has only one number, and apparently only one guy answering it because I called from November 18th last year until February 18th this year and only got as far as the on hold messages. Usually, I got a busy signal. I called an average of three days a week, twice each day. No help, so I called Sirius Radio again a few times and was always referred back to the only number for Jensen . Finally, I got through one day and was so excited, I thanked the Jensen guy for answering. He said"What do you want" and I said "I've got this Sirius Satillite Radio and...." CLICK!! he hung up on me and put me back on the on hold messages. I called Sirius Radio and told them why I was going to buy an XM Radio for my truck, and that I would visit them at the Louisville Truckshow this year. I did!! They apologized and said that Walter Cernan, Marketing Director, would call me. Haven't heard from him. My new XM Radio System is so easy to install that I did it myself in minutes. The control head is removable and can be placed in the XM portable boombox that I bought for carrying into the house or wherever I want. Most importantly, there is a real service department that I can call if I ever have any trouble. Cost of service is $10.00 a month. What good is a radio system without a customer service department that is easily accessable? Why would anyone want to renew a subscription for poor service? Sirius Satillite Radio was nice while it lasted. It just didn't last for me. ;-) ;-)
