Sarah Palin: Kathy Griffin is a bully

Why, why.....would Palin even acknowledge this idiot? By Palin responding to her comments, she only makes her relevant, which she is not. I don't know about other's here in the Soapbox, but I had no idea what Griffin said or didn't say about Palin or her family, until I saw her on Fox the other day. For Palin to respond to someone as insignificant as Kathy Griffin only makes you wonder how much of a media :censoredsign: this woman really is. Quit acting like a child and grow up for God's sakes! I wish both would just shut up and go away!

Go ahead.....tell me how afraid I am of Ms. Palin.....

(CBS) Sarah Palin has pulled out her Mama Grizzly claws to take a swipe at Kathy Griffin.

The former Alaska governor and tea party favorite called out the comedienne during a TV interview, when she was asked about reports that Griffin will play a Palin-type character on an upcoming episode of "Glee."

"You know, Kathy Griffin can do anything to me or say anything about me, because you know, she's kind of this - she's a 50-year-old adult bully is really what she is," Palin told Fox News. "She's kind of a has-been comedian and she can do those things to me."

She continued, "I would just ask for respect of my children. As she had stated on CNN that her New Year's resolution was to destroy my 16-year-old daughter, that takes it a little too far. Kathy, pick on me, come up to Alaska and pick on me, but leave my kids alone."

This isn't the first time Palin and Griffin have squared off. Griffin has poked fun at Palin and daughter Bristol for material in her comedy acts, and previously vowed make younger daughter Willow her next target.

"I've already gone for Sarah, Todd and Bristol obviously," she said in January. "But I think it's Willow's year to go down. In 2011, I want to offend a new Palin."

Griffin has not responded directly to Palin's comments, but when one of her Twitter followers alerted her to the news, she responded, "U made my day!"

Kathy Griffin makes her living being an idiot, she appeals to many who have little or no life to speak of but on the other hand Palin dragged her family into the spotlight, they went along for the ride and is fair game for anyone.

Exactly, and more reason to ignore her and not to bring her out into the national spotlight, which Ms. Palin just did.

she appeals to many who have little or no life to speak of

I think those that have little or no life, don't even pay attention to this woman(Griffin).

on the other hand Palin dragged her family into the spotlight, they went along for the ride and is fair game for anyone.

The sad thing is, she is letting a nobody get under her skin. In my opinion she just dragged herself down to this nobody's level. Does she really want the media spotlight on her that badly?

Your answer could be in the next to last paragraph of the MSM article. Palin doesn't do herself any favors, but the MSM does it's level best to showcase anyone who will bring Palin down.

Question. Did you have any idea what Kathy Griffin had said to Ms. Palin before she brought it up in the interview with Fox? I certainly didn't, and wouldn't have known about it until I watched it live. It wasn't on anybody's radar, as it should be. Once you call someone out, like some school kid on the playground, to meet them after school is just begging for attention.

If we follow this to it's obvious conclusion then the Obama girls would be fair game and we ALL know THAT isn't gonna happen. Palin's children are singled out because she's a conservative, it's as simple as that.

No it is not that simple.

Could it also be that the Obama girls are children, and the Palin girls are not.

I try very hard to not watch celebrity news, sometimes it's dang near impossible if you channel surf. So no I didn't notice what she said.

Being a comedian appears to give you the right to take on anyone anywhere, but that doesn't make it right. She should layoff anyone under the age of eighteen. CBS, NG, TMZ, Bravo all have given her the platform to attack Palin and are as guilty of poor taste as she is.

I believe it all started when Palins 16 yr old daughter called someone a fa**ot on her Facebook page.
Griffin, having a large gay following, took it upon herself (no doubt with also looking for attention), to call her out.

Obvious conclusion? Where was the Presidents children brought up in the article or this particular thread?

It's about Ms. Palin reacting(in a childish way) to a nobody, Hollywood, comedian, that no one pays attention to. Which makes her remarks even more pathetic, because she is giving her exactly what she wants.....publicity. For the love of God!

The obvious conclusion to this quote.....
Kathy Griffin makes her living being an idiot, she appeals to many who have little or no life to speak of but on the other hand Palin dragged her family into the spotlight, they went along for the ride and is fair game for anyone.

No, I'm not sure. My point is that it could be other reasons, other than that Palin is a conservitive.

Politicians familys have been the target of ridicule since the begining of time.

Even liberal familys, ie: Amy Carter, Chelsea Clinton (remember them). They were not the cutest kids in the world and i remember the jokes about them.

Do you not see the point in this? Who cares what Kathy Griffin said. But, but mommy, she started it....... This woman has hinted at being a Presidential nominee? If someone say's something she doesn't like during a debate, is she going to tell them, "Oh yeah......let's take it outside"? I'm sure some in here would love that, but for the majority of Americans she is acting like a child. She's having a war-of-words with a somebody that tells fart jokes.

Disclaimer:
For the record, I have no idea if Ms. Griffin tells fart jokes or not, I only assume she does given her career.

You know when you come down to it, no one forces a person to be a politician and Palin, like Obama and others have used kids for political gain which opens the door.

In addition, Palin took the celebrity route to exposing more of her family and making it hard not to have her critics tie them to her. Didn't her daughter go on some low rate TV show?

Obama's wife has been doing good with limiting the access to the kids while at the same time not making tv shows, having them appear all over the place for more fame and so on.

Cyrus and his allowing his daughter is another example, he now claims that "ruined" his family but his career was revived because of hers. I said this a while ago that he allowed his daughter to become entangled in stardom for his own gain and that alone is disgusting.

Any which way you look at it, Palin, like others should consider the problems that this would cause their kids by being stars before pushing to be stars. Until then, they are all fair game for criticism by anyone.

Why would Palin respond? Maybe because she will do anything to keep her name in the 'news'.
She recently responded to Michelle Obama's encouraging new mothers to breastfeed - which seems a pretty noncontroversial subject, right? Palin was quick to jeer: "Yeah, with the price of milk these days, you better!"
Leaves me wondering: why does Palin, who has played up her image as a committed mother, [described as a Soccer Mom or Grizzly Mama], not know one of the most important things a mother learns about one of the most important decisions a mother makes for her baby? Namely, that babies don't drink milk - it wreaks havoc on their digestive systems. Whichever choice a mother makes, the alternative to breastfeeding isn't to pick up a few more gallons of milk at the Piggly Wiggly, which makes the price of milk irrelevant to the question.
Does Palin not know that? Or did she just overlook it in her rush to get in a jab at the opposition?
Either way, yet again, she doesn't appear to have the judgement required to hold any elective office, IMO.

I don't know about Palin's reasoning for replying but the whole breast-feeding thing took a wrong turn when it was twisted into the critics of Michelle Obama not regarding breast-feeding as the best way when what they/we all objected to was the TAX CUTS she proposed for breast-feeding equipment. It was also turned into the critics not caring about low-income mothers and such but when you think about it, do all that many low-income people actually take tax deductions??

From Kathy Griffin to breast feeding......only on EO.:D
