Sad News for our Expediting Community

Hi Everyone,

I received a message that sadly, Debra Long, was in a fatal auto accident this past Friday. The report says the accident occurred while crossing a railroad bridge in Iowa when she lost control on an icy spot. The van crossed the median, rolled several times, and she was ejected from the driver's seat. There were no other vehicles involved.

Debbie had been in Expediting for several years, and she will be remembered for her support of our Expediting Community and her strong passion for her country.

Our thoughts and prayers from all of us at CIS go out to her friends and family.

Shelly can you tell us what her screen name is here on EO, some of us know others only by that. Regardless, it's sadness for all of us when we lose one in our corner of the business. Thoughts and prayers to the family for their loss, it's especially hard to lose someone during a holiday season.

Based on a message I saw this morning, it appears to be an Eclipse Expediting driver.

Very sad story - especially difficult during the Holidays. Thoughts and prayers for her family at this time.

Let this also be a reminder to us how we always need to be vigilant on the road.

Stay safe!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family also.I know this is hard on the family.

I found out about a month ago how hard it is when you get a call saying your son is in a bad accident. He hit a culvert about chest deep at about 50 mph.The good LORD was with him and his puppy(slash).
Tyler ended up with a broke jaw and dislocated shoulder no deep cuts.I think the truck rolled around Slash,he was just sore a few days.

I'm afraid I don't know her EO name...I'll ask a few sources and let you know if I can come up with anything.

If any good can come from her passing, maybe it is to remind us that we need to be aware, be smart and be safe. I would rather a box of bolts be two hours late than for anyone to suffer the loss she and her family has.

Peace and comfort to her family and friends.
