Since I made too many cracks about my Wifes cooking, now I have to cook my own meals and would like to share this meat loaf recipie.

3 lb ground beef
2 med. Onions
1 green pepper
1/4 teaspoon (tsp) Mrs. Dash Onion & Herb
1/8 tsp onion powder
2 or 3 table spoons powdered Parmasan cheese.
1/2 tsp Better Than Bullion Beef base, in 1/4 cup warm water.
salt, sugar, butter, olive oil, catsup

Carmalize chopped onions in olive oil/butter with a light salt and a little sugar(about an 1/8 tsp) add chopped pepper when the onions start to change color. Let cool.

Line the inside of the mixing bowl with meat, pour a little bit of bullion onion powder mrs dash mix, about 1/3 peppers onion mix and a good sprinkle of parmasan, then fold and repeat till out of ingredients.

Kneed and mix till well mixed.

make patties or loaf smeared with catsup and back at 350 til center 155 degrees.

Sauteed Portabello mushrooms would make this more awsome.

Opps. I thought she had instituted a job action because you were just a smart aleck. My mistake.

She like to create Job Actions, that is part of the wife's duties. Of course, as Dad used to say, "He only does things when the spirt mooves him." I lucked out, she can't cook, but she is a real sweet heart, just don't tell her. She would expect me to do more. Haha.

Sounds good. I've also added lean pork and venison to meat loaf.
I also made a loaf with ground turkey

Both were pretty good.

Contrary to popular belief men are usually good cooks. My wife and I are a good match, I like cooking the dinners and she likes baking.

I am going to try that recipe in my Rice Cooker without the ketchup on top. What I am going to try is to keep the grease drained off and see how it turns out.

Great Recipe thanks for sharing.

Lean ground turkey works great for a meatloaf, and it does not have as much grease or fat. Also, instead of ketchup, it is really good with cream of mushroom soup on top(the fat free variety, which also happens to be lower in sodium than the 'low sodium' variety...Or vice versa, I always have to read the label).
