Heard this on the comedy channel ( 19 ) the good ol CB.
The collapse of a section of embankment Thursday along Interstate 75 southbound in Campbell County has reduced traffic to one lane.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation says the outside lane is closed at mile marker 143 near the Stinking Creek Road exit, and the inside lane remains open.

The slide was reported at 1:20 p.m.

There's significant cracking along the right shoulder moving toward the outside lane.

TDOT maintenance crews are installing concrete barrier walls as a safety precaution.

Geotechnical engineers were at the scene for assessments.

There's no estimated time when the lane will be reopened, according to TDOT spokesman Mark Nagi.

Motorists should use caution in the area and expect delays. US 25W (SR 9) can be used as an alternate route around the area.

Fellow veteran just told me this...Just checked the TDOT Smartway site. Says all Southbound lanes are blocked, expected to be cleared and repaired by 3/23. Detour signs for regular traffic and oversize loads have been posted.

ugh, a friend of mine said he is on I75 at 847pm eastern time and they are being routed around the interstate and he is on the Northbound side . So there must have been an error or something.

It's a short detour, isn't it?
