Road Rage

We probably have all expierenced it once or more.

Try this just as the offender slams on his brakes in front of you, run over him. Or as they come up beside you, ram them into the wall.

A very expierenced friend of mine gave me some great advice: If you touch metal, or someone reports you other than the jerk. Your gona have probelms and possibly legal problems or termination of your Leasor. (Hours of hassles)

Before the finger waving jerk gets your last nerve remember you must be smarter than he to avoid finger waving or brake slaming or slowing in front of you.

Make a mistake out there and not only is PAT and CRASH out to get you, but every guy whos had a bad day and 6 beers who thinks you are out to just ##### him off.

It is a dailey occurance. My advice is this, you can't teach anyone else how to drive and you are better off just waving hello back to them but never flip anyone off. This can create more problems and could get you shot! Be careful how you react to these clowns! Just be safe!:+

We haven't had any road rage problems in our expediter truck yet (only a week run time so far), but last fall while driving a fully loaded Werner semi in Indy on I 465, I had some moron in a gold pick up truck (with a big Colts emblem on the window) slam on his brakes twice in front of me because I wouldn't move over to let him in. Of course there was traffic in the center lane, so I couldn't move over.
Good thing I was fully loaded, otherwise he would have been road kill. There must be such a thing as "suicide by semi"!

Davelees1, welcome to the expedite world!!! As much as I hate to say it though I think you will find you also see it quite often. Trust me even when I was OTR it seemed like every day there was one some place that had opinions not so pleasant. Please as mentioned earlier though just be careful, kill em with kindness and just wave back... With all fingers.... Then sit back and enjoy your trips...

My huge problem with road rage is construction or accident areas. The drivers that drive on the shoulders or get on and then off at the ramps and then cut in front of you. This tries my patience more then anything and I find myself hugging the car in front of me so no one can cut in. I really need to work on my attitude towards this as the posts before mine say you can not teach other drivers manners only work on your own.

Bob, good point for sure.... Do you think they do this in response to when drivers come up on construction on the cb yelling for a dance partner to create a wall of truck across the lanes? However, they do not realize that is done to keep them from jumping all over the place and cutting others off.

You can get in trouble for blocking those lanes like that. I'll admit though I've held up traffic a couple of times to let a couple of big trucks in when I was out there in those construction zones especially. I found that alot of times when you are the one holding things up all you have to do is get on the radio and people will let you back over when you need it.
