Yeah, just heard a rare past interview with him on the radio. A staunch defender of things Canadian who once refused or returned the Juno (Juneau?) awards given him for having become too Americanized. Also talked about the increasing homogenization of towns across Canada; all walmart and fast food and corporate and all starting to look too much alike.
Good for him. RIP indeed.
