2 days ago, I woke to find my dog Kenzy had passed away. It was unexpected, [she was only 5!], but mercifully very quick - the vet said most likely a stroke, resulting in instant death. I cannot replace her, and won't even try.
What I want to do, [and the reason I'm posting this], is volunteer for a group called Operation Roger - emergency pet transport for truckers. It's something I wouldn't do before, not knowing what might happen if I brought another into the truck, [the dogs don't know it's just temporary], and I didn't want to take any risks of dog trouble while driving - it could have been ugly.
If any other drivers would like to volunteer, or just find out more about them, the website is Operation Roger [sorry, I can't do links].
A lot of pets [and Kenzy and I] would appreciate the help - because we all need a lift now & then.
