I recently a place (Van Crafters on Grosbeck&11mile in Roseville,mi that install raised roof,s. I ordered mine today( e-350) takes two weeks for delivery and one day to install. As for space in a van I have two sleepers in mine. One behind seats sleep there when loaded. have a walk through bulkhead and a second sleeper mounted along wall that folds down when empty. Every thing is coming out once new roof is installed.New sleeper will drop down from ceiling by electric motor & cables. Sence skids are only 48" high will have plenty of room for full size bed and when not in use it will draw up into the raised roof. as for # of skids I've been told that the the GM will haul 3 skids from back of seats to rear. i personally dont care for the cargo breathin down my back. So I'll stick to two skids.

I had some work done by them on my Chevy 3500 and was very pleased. I looked at getting the raised roof on mine but held off. I would like to hear how things went after you get this done. Did you order the top prepainted? How high is it? Did you chose to leave the roof frame in above the driver?

Thanks
