That's the problem with a truck that gets double digit fuel mileage. It's very hard to hit platinum.

I fuel only at TA/Petro, all PM's and most repairs are done there as well.

Well folks this is my yearly post. I have been an Expediter for 10+ years.I have in the last year moved from a straight truck to a van. Please keep in mind when reading this that 95% of my diesel was purchased at TA's. I could be in and out after a fuel stop in 15 minutes, swipe my cards at the pump, walk inside get my receipt, etc.
When first stopping at the TA/Petro's to get gas I found it to be a hassle using my Ultra One Card. Couldn't swipe Ultra One card at pump, needed to go inside stand in line give clerk cards, Ultra One and debit, they held cards till I came back in, stood in line again to get my receipt and my cards back. Remember I said I'm an Expediter and time is critical. Then to make things even worst I had to purchase 50 gallons within a 5 day period to get a shower credit.
Reluctantly I changed my choice of fuel stops to the Pilot/Flying J which allows me to swipe my cards and get receipt at the pump. With the purchase of 14 gallons of gas I receive 1/2 shower credit. Two stops with purchase of at least 14 gallons I can take a shower!
So with all of that I had decided to keep my Rewards points on my TA card to use during the holidays. The last weeks ago I stopped at the TA in San Antonio, went to the kiosk to get my points printed into a cash coupon. My card won't swipe at the kiosk so I went to the fuel counter, under the advise of the manager. The clerk call the 800# to talk with TA about my card. She was told that my card was not active. So I asked her to reactivate it. She did. Ask to for my point balance...ZERO! TA could have sent me an email prior to deactivating my REWARDS card so I could use the points still available on my REWARDS card. They don't have any problems emailing me monthly about other things The balance on my REWARDS card was over $50.00. My REWARD card was deposited in the TRASH. It is of no use to me.

Happy Holidays

I've got one. It's the most useless card in my wallet! They still just don't care about gas vans. I spend thousands each month on fuel at Pilot and The J. Because I'm already there, I buy my smokes, snacks, drinks and sometimes eat there. I do like both TA and Petro restaurants better but that would mean another stop.

I've got a gas van. I have a Speedway card, don't know that it's much good. I won't load up with any other card, not no way not no how. Especially after reading posts like the ones above which indicate that the TA/Petro cards are really only for big rigs anyhow. I suspect something similar about the Flying J/Pilot cards.

We also had our card "deactivated " even though we had just used it a week prior, and thats in a straight truck.

If there is no activity on the UltraONE card for six months, the points go poof.

After reading that if anyone still wants a ULTRA ONE card let me know I will give you mine. I have no use for TA or PETRO.

The Pilot and J card works great for gas vans. Swipe card at pump, get free showers for only 2 fuel purchases. Use card for entries into their monthly giveaways, build credit for free food and drinks

OVM, Thanks for the heads up on the AAA discount, didn't know that was available.

I really like Petro the best because they usually have better food and driver areas. If they would invest in the technology to simply swipe your card at the pump, I would prefer to go there!

When I'm 70 and all what's left of my muscle mass is dragging the ground I'm going to stop in front of their restaurant, pull out my camping shower and take a shower with nothing but my santa hat on. Then I will ask them to punch my card.

To add to my original post, I only use truck stop to purchase gas when a shower credit is necessary. Any other time I use Gas Buddy app to find the cheapest gas. As any smart van driver knows gas can be cheaper away from the truck stops.

I'm only allowed to fuel at p/fj now so muh ultra one card does no good (well it takes frost of my mirrors nicely). Plus I hit the Christmas club points and never received them. Shotty azz ta/petro.

A few months back, the head honcho at TA/Petro did a conference call to see why we didn't use TA/Petro as our primary truck stop. To the head honcho: See this thread for further details.

Ultra card too hard to use, disappearing points-- if you can get them at all-- and in general what any of us out here would call poor customer service-- that kind of thing gets around you know, and it's not exactly good press.

Everyone had the chance to join the call. I did and I addressed issues I had with them. How will they know if you don't tell them. Everyone wants to gripe but no one wants to offer criticism.

Idk, they sent me an email reminding me of the call 2 hrs after the call had allready took place??? I would have loved to offer my criticism....i avoid them whenever possible, even though most have alot better gas with BP.
