Redytrk Retirement

This day I am announcing my retirement. Thanks to all my friends on EO, this forum has provided a connection amongst peers unimagined when I began with Roberts Express in Oct 1988.
I must say I would not be taking this action if revenue was what it should be today. I am not blaming FDCC or anyone else for this. We are victims of our own success. Word spread quickly in the ninety's that there was money in expediting. Result was every Tom, Dick, and Harry with a phone line thought he was an expediting company. People were recruited with no idea of the true cost of running a vehicle.
I am hopeful this will reverse in the future, however I have been saying this for the last 10 to fifteen years. As long as the recruiters still find enough body's to fill those seats, change will not happen.

Thanks Leo. I remember our meeting very well. As I recall you were still in a big rig at that time but had your eye on expediting. Right?

Just because you are retiring from expediting doesn't mean you need to retire from E.O. Enjoy your retirement. Can I have your old brown paper grocery bag with the eye holes?

Welcome to retirement, it's not so bad. I too started with Robert's then FDCC. But time and age have a way of catching up to you, find a good hobby and HAPPY RETIREMENT.
