Red Skelton--from his television show in 1969 WOW ! Just think, he said this on his television show in 1969 and really had no clue it would ever come about. SAD, isn't it?

What a wonderful and worthwhile clip to watch and share with all your friends and acquaintances!

I remember that show, I was in tears. Mr. Skelton was a very talented man. Wrote a lot of music, real music, not 3 chord stuff. Some of it very complicated.

I did not see the show in 1969. I was in Germany at a radar site in the boonies. I passed this link on to many of my friends. Jerry Lee

Red Skelton was truly talented unlike many current posers who are not funny at all and cover for it with obscenities. The worst language in Mr. Skelton's act were the word that is also a thing to hold back water and the word that's the bad place Sunday school teaches you don't want to go to. He also was a talented artist. Too bad we don't have more truly gifted and talented entertainers like this now days.

That talent still is out there, it always is. What is lacking is a venue for it to shine and a public with taste and standards to enjoy it.

If it could be sold, it would be. Just as in politics, our lack of standards as a people is the main cause for the garbage we see today.
