Anyone know about what it would cost to change the rear end ratio on a truck?

I can only be vauge about price without knowing your trade condition or which housing you have...so here goes, better plan on 1,000.00 to 1,500.00. Better shop and if available buy rebuilt with a warranty. Good luck and best to contact the experts for your rear selection. Going 100 mph is cool but if you can't climb over a hill it's not much good.

I'm looking at new trucks so it would be a 3 digit mileage number maximum. Thanks for the input. That's what I needed to know.

LEO...One time,while looking at a new truck allready in inventory,the salesman said they would send the truck out for the rear end change.The cost would b about half what it would be for me to hqve it done later.

I think he said around 500 bucks.
