Really, really big. That's one Big Aѕѕ Fan!

Below is a Big Aѕѕ Fan at an industrial location in Telford, PA I delivered to this morning. They make coffee and food bags, industrial bags, chemicals, all sorts of stuff. The fan is 24-feet in diameter.

If you have an iPhone and want to see what a Big Aѕѕ Fan would look like installed in your home or business, there's an App for that.

A Lexington, KY company, formerly known as HVLS (for High Volume Low Speed) after 3 years in business (started in 1999), "finally had to bow to the sentiments of our customers and concede that we do, in fact, design and manufacture some Big Aѕѕ Fans. It was therefore a natural step to change our name to Big Aѕѕ Fan Company, and to “adopt” our mascot, Fanny the Donkey, shortly thereafter."

Too funny. :D

One guy said, "When you crank it up it'll blow the fork trucks over."

He was kidding, but they said it really moves a lot of air efficiently. They kept talking about how great it is in the summer, but also how it pulls the heat out of the rafters to keep the heating bill a lot lower than before they got the fan. I've seen these fans at football stadiums, basketball arena, a couple of airplane hangars, and places like that, but they're always way up there. This place has a relatively low ceiling, just never saw one that big that close up before. It's impressive. Expensive, too, I think. A lot of warehouses in Laredo need these things. :D

I first saw them at the Kalahari water parks. They do move some air.

There are four of them in the stadium here in Savannah Ga. They make games bearable in the summertime down here. Jerry Lee
