I was put on a newer BP med called Norvasc and it works great! That and cutting my sodium intake.

BUT Norcasc here in the U.S isn't yet in a generic form and a 30 day supply is about $55.00 at Walmart..no 4 buck deal...

JuJu and I have long dealt with Home | JanDrugs out of Canada and these people are top notch!

An 84 day supply of Norvasc or generically called Amlodipine is about $38.00 plus I think its 11.00 shipping. Thats a whack of a savings if any members are on this BP medication.:)

Take your pills dear? They seriously have helped..and the fringe benefit is the weight loss.

Next time home I'll have to get copies of my rx from my doctor and check them out. They are definitely better priced than Walmart, at least before my deductible is met. I need to switch meds though as I'd really like that fringe benefit and mine doesn't have it.

Leo..when another drug...Lisinipril went generic in the US Jandrugs sent us an email informing us of the fact and advised checking out Walmart down here for the 4 dollar deal...I couldn't believe they were so upfront....customer service is great.:)

The benefit is cutting way down on my salt intake not from the meds....

Yes dear took my pills.....;)

I take Lisinopril but want to check them out for Nexium and Crestor. Their prices are far below prices here. It's covered by my insurance but until the deductible is met I pay the insane price and even after the deductible it is crazy expensive. I think averaged out they would still be cheaper, especially using their generic equivalents that I can't get here.

Most of the time if you order 2 or more prescriptions they forgive the shipping on the 2nd order....I use the 1-888 number and talk to them in person most times....

My doctor switched me from Nexium to Omeprazole - the generic for Prilosec. He said it was virtually the same thing and way cheaper. I noticed these guys have the OTC generic at 100 pills for $41 - pretty good deal. I also get the Crestor in the 10 mg size and split the pills, thus twice as many for only slightly more than the 5 mg price.

Leo, next time you're in Laredo, take a walk across the bridge and you can get Crestor for a third of what it costs here.

Over the years I took several medications for BP. I never knew i had BP, but probably did have it for years without knowing. I had terrible side effects with some meds, and then I went to this lady doctor and she put me on metropolol with a diuretic. The diuretic changed everything, and my pressure has been normal for several years now. Ask your doctor about it if you`re having control problems, and it might work for you.

I'm in enough fear for my life being on the Laredo side. If those are my choices I'll pay full price.

Hey OVM, I take amlodipine in the GENERIC form! It is available in the U.S. but I have NO idea why not at Wally World. I get my through the VA, they for the most part, ONLY have generic meds. I pay $20 for a 90 supply. Maybe other phramacies have it avaiable here.

I was in Dexter Mo the other day and they have the generic...I asked why they do and the rest don't.....apparently the pharmacists in that town got together and bulk bought outside the Wally system....it was $12.00 for a 90 day supply...it is the only one that I've been to so far that has it that low....at that price I got 180 day supply...:D
