There is no set answer to that question. On freight that is up for bid, right now it's generally low. As far as a companies own customers, that will vary. The range could be anywhere from under a buck for a van load on a bid board to, well, heck, a whole lot for high value, high security.
thank you highway star. I was curious what would be industry adverage quote to a new shipper for a sprinter truck no refer, tsa, or twic or hazmat? Are the carriers reducing their offers as much as their pay to o/o s? If carrier xyz is getting $2.00 a mile
from shipper are they paying thier sprinter 70 cents?
I am an independant and get most of my loads from other carriers. I am thinking of dealing directly with shippers
