Whatda think about those Chromed Bull Balls or painted hanging on the back of PUs and some Trucks.

Was listening to a radio show that brought this topic up.

Would you put them on the back bumper or not? Insulting? Funny?

Figured this would bring some comments.

I will say this I laugh when I see them but maybee just maybee not at them but at them (the people who think its MACHO and chicks dig em).

Or how bout them girls with the Barbie Doll Figures with the hair blowing in the wind always in chrome usually on the Mud Flaps wow how sexy are those? Always wonder what ladies (not chics) think of them also.

Don't forget the straight pipes, jake brake and train horns. This type person is usually given at least 3 chapters in any intro to psychology text. Look in the glossary under low self esteem or small penis. Sorry Charlotte.

While I'm not a big fan of some Idiot using a Jake brake(Engine brake)
when there is no need for it ie: rolling around a truck stop parking lot.Big stacks,Bull nuts ,train horns,Chrome sitting ladies and all the other shiny stuff some drivers have on their trucks, this is not a sign of low self esteem.or having a small penis.GROW UP!!! maybe that is what
makes them feel good having a sharp nice looking truck.as far as the chrome bull balls, usually means a cattle farmer or a bull hauler or they
handle cattle some way or the other.I have a mini version(I know what your thinking)of a set of bull balls on a key ring.Guess I have a small
penis huh?bunch of yuppies need to get a life grow up and find something
else to post about.Get a life

I think they hang those big chrome "Bull balls" on their bumper to make up for the "twig and berries" between their legs!LOL:p

Yes I agree. Unless they like Mountain Oysters?

Nope.

And the urinating "Calvin" decal is in the same category.

Basically, the open display of such moves America closer toward total depravity.

The constant "In your face" display of decals, mudflaps, T-shirts, billboards, TV ads, etc. that have a sexual connotation, slowly chip away at the moral fiber of our nation; a nation that was founded on Christian values and principles.

So if someone has pride in their ride they have a small penis. You may need to see a psycologist for saying that. I used to work at a chrome shop and all the drivers who came in there were really nice guys. If someone wants a sharp looking truck let them have it. If they want big 6 inch stacks it's their money let them spend it how they want to. Although I don't really think the bull balls are tasteful I don't think it has anything to do with a persons body. I think someone is just jealous because they drive a plain jane ride.

I think having pride in their ride is different from in your face "I am a macho trucker". Chrome is one thing, but a lot of annoying things is another. Like the train horns on trucks that are used not to be a safety issue but to make a statement. I understand the need for them on a truck to a point but the way a lot use them is another matter. Many of us had to endure at one truck stop late one night a series of company trucks fueling up and then hitting the horns when they pulled out of the parking lot waking everyone up in the place. They would stage it so they would leave ten minutes apart.

Much like straight pipes on bikes, I can't stand them and I know many other feel the same way - they don't do a thing other than to annoy (or in my case cause a lot of pain in my ear). The idea of straight pipes save lives forgets the physics of sound. My former HD never ever had them and the previous owner who was a very hard core biker (not a yuppie reliving his teenage years) and the present owner both agree with me about them.

I'm not saying chrome bull testicles, urinating "Calvin" ,or the teeth in the grill,or any of that stuff is tasteful.as a matter of fact it gives the trucking industry as a whole a bad image.I detest most of it.
my point being, where does it say in psychology book that having such stuff on one's truck means they have a low self esteem.or any health
book were does it say that having a set of chrome bull nuts on your truck means you have a small penis.I mean come on Although in a few days I'm going back to a real trucking job,That was part of the reason I got out of it got tired of being put in the same catagory as some of those lowlifes out there in the conventional trucking would.Just sit around in a truck stop especially on a weekend, and turn on your C.B. radio's and just listen don't say a word keep your comments to yourself no matter how bad you might want to return a comment.JUST LISTEN.and it sounds like your sitting in a playground full of 13-14 year olds. You know I heard it once said that it only takes a 3rd grade education to drive
a truck.Now I know where they got that from.x(

Poison, if you will reread the comment, it says "a small penis or low self esteem", and it's pretty much an accepted fact that the showoffs & braggarts have low self esteem, I believe.
And people can only put you in a category if you let them, you know - why let someone else define who you are?

a show off is just that a show off
a braggart is just that a braggart
having a low self esteem is just that a low self esteem.

neither one is in any way has anything to do with the other
have we all not at one time or the other bragged about something in our lives.

have we all at one time whether in childhood or adulthood showed off in one way or another.

I guess we all have a small penis and a low self esteem.

you said
" it's pretty much an accepted fact that the showoffs & braggarts have low self esteem,"
where do you people get your thinking from was it something you learned from a bathroom stall at a truck stop somewhere .I'm not defending the whizzing Calvin or the bull testicles by know means.but to say having this stuff or being a showoff or bragging about something means you have a low self esteem is an outrage.I have bought chrome I have bought little stickers.by the way the praying Calvin or the cowboy kneeling with his horse at the cross our my favorite. And rest asure I don't have a low self esteem and as far as the bull bulls go....................well you child mined people think what you want

First impression mean a lot and the people that have the "balls" hanging from their vehicles sure dont come across very good at all. I dont like seeing them and I would even prefer to not park by anything that has them hanging there. Pride in your ride in my opinion does not include those.

Well I got that idea from several classes in psychology and training and that is backed up by years of research some have done in the field of psychology. Kinda’ akin to the idea that we need to boast a child’s self-esteem in school by ripping down the traditional system of rewards and standards if you really think about it. “No don’t tell Jane that she got an A on the test, tell her that she did ok but tell Jack that even though he failed the test, the test represents nothing but a formality and does not matter†– make them feel good about themselves, give them false hope so they are unprepared for the real world.

Warning possible offensive comments ahead – the comment is not of the poster’s opinion but of that of a Swift driver who has masters in psychology.

He said something like this: it is a fact that the macho-ness of the trucker has been vacated and replaced by the feminization of trucking, which is a good thing when you look at it in the bigger picture. This is one area that can do with it but there are other areas that should never be touched, like journalism and education. Many feel news reporting should not be the touchy feeling reporting that exists with the Katie Curics of the world but something like the brinkly & huntly reporting.

So to me, a lot of people in this industry feel threatened and can’t voice their opinion by getting in one’s face but rather show off in other ways. This to me shows a clear insecurity and maybe a confusion about their manhood. Remember a truck is a tool.
