I posted a similar question a couple of times over the years titled "Who's in that truck?" I am always surprised at the cross section of folks who hit the road. From Highly educated to drop outs. So, I'll give it a shot answering this query. I came to expediting after driving TT as an O&O for many years. I worked trade shows for a long time. Before I got into TT and out of the 9 to 5, my main claim to fame was selling TV production equipment, and services acroos the country.
I was doing heating and air conditioning sales and service work. Then I went to work delivering Staples stuff, then I quit, took early retirement, then I gave up early retirement, then a friend of mine said to take my van and go be a courier driver. Longer story short, here I am , wearing out my van, but I'm my own boss and its great, wish I had done this 20 years ago,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,live and learn, but don't u all wait to long............................
