Quick way to cook veggies

I try to listen to the Road Cookin show whenever possible. Today, a caller came up with a great way to cook veggies. Place them in a wide mouth thermos, cover them with boiling water, put the lid on and in 10 minutes you have cooked vegetables. Cauliflower, broccoli, baby carrots etc work well by this method according to the caller. This would also free up another small appliance for other jobs.

I guess I'll be huntin one up at WalMart this weekend!

Good idea, it works well.
