Ok all you legal beagles and moralistic hacks....

I get a room last night and I get assigned a disabled room...they are drive ups.....I get to my room and they have the markers of disabled...both signed and symbol on the pavement...each room has one....so do I. or don't I? Am I legally entitled? or will Bubba come along and see some quick cash?....Is it fightable?

The is no moral issue here. You paid for a room. The motel assigned you a room. You can park where the room is assigned without feeling bad.

Legally, I have no idea. It is private property, limited access so to speak. Each room came with it's own spot and you paid for the room and therefor the slot as well. That would be my thinking. I have no idea if that is right.

I hope you enjoy your ticket.

If it is a legally marked handicap zone, you can't park there.

I wouldn't. If only because of the security guard wannabes that will rat you out/key your door when they don't see a handicapped permit.

I did.....but it felt weird.....but then again.....2 rooms side by side...one spot for each....

And no you can't park there they rented you a room not an assigned parking space+ g

In Scotts defense...there are some people out there that judge, convict and carry out the justice they think is right...as in keying someones car or truck.....

Was the space a legal hanicapped spot?
If it had the sign then it is legal if it was just painted on the pavement then it is not.

If it is a legal I wouldn't park there(actually I would, but I have handicapped plates

)
Maybe the motel saw you an thought you were handicapped and took pity on you
